Once upon a time..

It all started when our Managing Director, Gunnar Netz was out knocking on the doors of homes offering eggs and potatoes for sale. One day a restaurant owner answered the door and as they say the rest is history…from that point on our range of products grew. The Grönsakshallen Sorunda company was founded in 1985 and just as it was in the beginning, our customer’s needs and demands for the highest quality products remains our lodestar. You could say that we, in collaboration with Sweden’s most skillful chefs and cooks, have created Grönsakshallen Sorunda.

We’re not like the others?

We don’t know what the others in the business do, but we work round the clock to ensure that our customers are satisfied. Providing the best service possible comes is natural for us. And there are several of us here who know just what chefs want because they’ve previously worked as chefs themselves.

Our fundamental principle

Almost every day we are faced with large and small decisions that have to be made and we don’t always know how to handle them. To deal with these we have created our own fundamental principle comprised of five watchwords that we can count on. These five words form the basis for all of our decision-making: fairness, honesty, economy and common sense. It doesn’t have to be any more complicated than this.

A passion for innovation

What is good food actually? All chefs have their own opinions about this and we know that our customers buy a wide variety of products from us. We would like to offer you the possibility to create the kind of food that you prefer, in your restaurant, in your own way. That is why we have a vast selection of food items to choose from, and why we are constantly on the lookout for new possibilities and products. Quite simply, we love innovation and change.

Cooling and heating…

We realize that many of our products are sensitive to both low and high temperatures. That’s why we designed our premises ourselves. Grönsakshallen Sorunda, located near the Globe Arena just south of Stockholm, has temperature-controlled facilities to accommodate the requirements of all our fruits and vegetables and ensure that they remain of the highest quality while we handle and pack them to fill customer orders. These fresh products are then transported to our customers in temperature-controlled trucks and delivery vehicles.
